Sciences Po attracts a student community unique in its academic excellence, social and geographic diversity, and multiculturalism.
Students with at least three Cambridge International A Levels in different subjects are eligible to apply to Sciences Po Undergraduate College. There are no specific subject or grade requirements. However, candidates must demonstrate academic excellence, a keen desire to study at Sciences Po, a clear and meaningful commitment to a cause, community or passion as well as involvement in extracurricular activities.
As of 2021, all candidates, whether they be French or international, will follow the same admissions procedure and be evaluated using identical criteria. This unified admissions procedure consists of four separate evaluations common to all candidates: 1. The candidate’s final secondary school exam results (French Baccalaureate or foreign equivalent such as Cambridge International A Level exams), 2. the candidate’s academic performance in the last three years of their secondary schooling, 3. three written essays, and 4. an interview. The interview mark complements the other three marks obtained in the application phase.
Cambridge International A Level candidates currently enrolled in a non-French high school must apply through Sciences Po’s international admissions route. Candidates applying through this pathway will have the option of two Undergraduate College programmes, including dual degree programmes: https://www.sciencespo.fr/admissions/en/undergraduate/foreign-secondary-schools.html. Students who have not yet sat their final A Level exams can submit their predicted A Level grades in order to meet the application deadline. Please note: It is the candidate’s secondary school qualifications, not their nationality, which determines the candidate’s pathway.
